There is an obsession with the self, with ‘discovering one’s self’ almost a substitute for living. We must change by conversion to the environment, and shift to a biocentric, cosmo-centric imagination. Especially those with influence in developing countries need to be able to listen to their own consciences. 90% of Catholics agree that there should be family planning, birth control. But the Catholic Church still has an absolute monarchy. It is a scandal, and some of us are trying to do something about it.
