Cooper the ginger and white cat disappeared five years ago and his owner, Anna, thought she had lost him forever.
Cooper however had taken up residence with an elderly man and when he was no longer able to care for Cooper, Cooper was brought to the Whyalla Veterinary Clinic to find a new home.
When he was scanned for a microchip, it turned out that he had an owner and had been missing for 5 years.
Anna could hardly believe it when we contacted her and said we had Cooper here.
She immediately came down to be reunited with her cat.
It really is Christmas.
