Thank you so much for the gift of Duke who was “Dujec” when you rescued him from the Port Augusta Pound in 2009. In March 2024 he will be 15 years old he has seen me through three other dogs.
He is also a published pupster, a sample over the page appeared in the Canberra Times in 2022 and many other examples of his pawmetry have found their way into books etc
What a wonderful companion he is even now in his increasing fragility. He is nearly blind but can still walk a few kilometers, is a veracious chip burglar and barks like a Caine Corso if he senses intruders.
The Jack Russel x Staffy gene has given him congevity and resilience – he even lived through a spider bite in 2017 and never missed a walk – bandages and all.
